Silent films are great to use in class. Use them for getting students to describe what is happening, retelling and more. This one is a great example to be used to introduce an activity – Word Ladders. First invented by Lewis Caroll, who had a thought a minute – word walls are a fun vocabulary game for any class. This video, a classic by Sam Loyd and Edison – tells the story of a billboard where one letter is changed to make it an advert for a different trade. Follow along and guess the changes.
