Putting yourself in someone else’s shoes is a great idiom and lesson to teach and this short story, Sometimes You’re A Caterpillar drives that lesson home! After, discuss the meaning, idiom and then ask students to write out a challenge they have and that others don’t truly understand on a piece of paper – anonymously.
