Media literacy is so important and we can bring this into our lessons in some simple ways. Here is one. Play the ad. Stop before the end and ask students what product is being sold, who paid for the ad? Then finish the commercial. Discuss aspects of media literacy, how commercials use music, hooks, celebrities to get our attention, notice their products.
